Denture Process
Our denture process takes about 3-6 months in total, depending on a couple of factors. Read about our process below:
- Consultation: Once you schedule your appointment, you’ll come into our office for an initial consultation. During this, the dentist will examine your oral health and look for signs of infection or decay. They will also determine if additional teeth will need to be extracted.
- Extraction: Once your dentist has consulted with you, you will come back to our office so they can extract the teeth. After this step, your mouth will take 6-8 weeks to heal.
- Record-Taking: After your extractions have healed, we will take measurements and a mold of your mouth. This step is essential in making sure your dentures fit perfectly. We then will send the mold to a dental lab where the dentures are built. Once your dentures are ready, we will fit the dentures to your mouth to make sure they are functional and comfortable. We will make any adjustments needed at this time so you can feel confident in your new smile!

There are two types of dentures available. Traditional dentures that can be easily removed and cleaned on a daily basis and those that are “fixed”, also known as fixed dentures.
